Geoff Grandfield
Geoff Grandfield will explore the iterative process of drawing composition, looking for a new take on illustrating Patricia Highsmith’s well-known novel from 1950 “Strangers on a Train“ for the Folio Society.


Geoff Grandfield is an award-winning illustrator born in Bristol, England and now living in London. He has worked with major newspapers and publishers since 1987. His work centres on the visual communication of ideas, narrative and atmosphere, influenced by the cinematography of film noir and the reductivism of modernist graphic art.
He currently heads the Department of Illustration Animation at at Kingston University. As an educator he leads the Department’s undergraduate and postgraduate taught provision, teaching across the programmes, and supervises illustration practice-based PhD students.
